    PR Card Renewal Application Q

I'm filling out the application to renew my PR card and I've run out of slots to use for my travel history. I'm filling out the PDF in adobe. Do I just attach a spreadsheet with all the dates, or is there a way to add more slots? It doesn't mention anything on the application.

Hello! I'm due to renew my PR card in July 2018 but I'm considering just rushing to complete my citizenship app. I just requested my entry/exit records via the FOIA and I know I'm eligible to apply. Any idea on how long the processing for these things take? How much prep do I need to do for...

US Citizen Accepted to Concordia... now what?!

Thank you very much! Should I plan to be moved to Montreal before a certain time? I would like to wait before about two weeks before school starts, but I'm not sure if I have to move earlier than that.

    It Gets Better

I am just bumping this up because after reading through a few topics, I am seeing that some people are in a horrible rut. I hear you. I get you. I'm sorry. :( Applying for residency was probably one of the most stressful and difficult things that I've ever done. My husband and I joke that we...

    Where to begin?

Hello there! In 2010, I started the application process to become a Permanent Resident of Canada and now my sister would like to join me by going to school here. The thing is, I know very little about how to get a student visa and what is necessary or not. The big questions right now are: 1)...

    It Gets Better

I did travel outside of the country, but I applied out land. I just renewed my "visa" when the 6 months were up. If you applied inland, you don't have to renew your visa as you have implied status. If you leave the country when applying inland you risk your application getting thrown out.

What are you doing, Revenue Quebec?

Hola! So, I become a permanent resident of Canada in April of 2013. I just received a letter from Revenu Quebec saying I owe them $200 for 2012? I'm trying to make sense of this, but I cannot. How the heck do I owe taxes for a year that I wasn't even WORKING or a RESIDENT? I was here as a...

US Citizen Filing For Taxes in the US

Has anyone filled out the paperwork online via the program that the IRS offers on their website? That is what I was thinking of doing, as I think my case is pretty straight forward. I made 2k this year while dog walking as an independent contractor, and my husband and I's bank account has yet to...

US CITIZENS : Living Abroad, but still filing tax returns for the IRS

WHAT?!!! That's absurd! I worked as a dog walker, which is technically an independent contractor, and I made 2k! Ugh. I'de love to hire an accountant, but I don't have nearly the money to pay for that. We hire one for our canadian taxes, but they cost barely a thing. I'll have to look into it...
