Hi,

Here are the Outland forms http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

As I see any form that has a "Validate" button in it, must be filled on computer and then Printed with barcodes
Barcodes are generated when you presss the Validate button and it succeeds with no errors.

All the other forms can be filled either by hand or on PC~

For the sponsor: IMM 1344 has to be filled in using Adobe, since it's got barcodes. And for the sponsored person: IMM 0008.

As for the others, even though you are free to fill them by hand, it's best to fill them using Adobe Reader anyway, since they'd look neater... :)

okay thanky Denis..i am checking those forms....but Fandv..this is what i was reading and this is the IMM 0008

SPONSORSHIP APPLICATIONS NOW REQUIRE TWO VALIDATED ONE APPLICATIONS

As many are aware, all applications for permanent residence now require a Generic Application which must be completed on line and then validated. Once validated, the computer generated bar codes must be submitted to the Canadian Embassy. As of March 31, 2012, all sponsorship applications will require two on line validated forms with bar codes – the Generic Application plus the Sponsorship Agreement. Old versions will no longer be accepted.

so u sure u can fill that by hand?

Is there a reason why you are filling by hand....keep in mind, now the person in CIC will have to manually enter each and every word into the system. A bar code is just one scan. Make life easier for them so that they process your application quicker. Again, you can avoid data entry mistakes on their end.

What exactly do you want to fill out by hand, and why can't you enter the information electronically into the application? IMM 0008 is pretty straightforward and shouldn't require any handwritten responses.

No, I meant to say that IMM 1344 and IMM 0008 must absolutely be filled by using Adobe, since only Adobe can generate the barcodes, by clicking the "Validate" button.

The other ones can be filled by hand, but why not fill them with Adobe too? Not only will doing so save your time (since typing using a keyboard is faster than writing by pen), but your forms will look neater as well, and it'll be less likely that the VO will incorrectly read any information you put in the forms... :)

I sure hope this suggestion doesn't confuse the situation :)

I would suggest you print every form, fill them out by hand, check for errors.........then return to the forms online and fill all of them out again electronically by copying from your handwritten copies.

This accomplishes three things.....
1. gives you a chance to check for errors
2. you are not pressed for time or worried about saving as you go
3. when you complete your good copies digitally you know they will be completed correctly and neatly

Just a suggestion
