So I graduated college got my associative degree.
my visa agent said two year degree guarantees three-year PGWP but
this time I only got one year one.

My agent said he didn't know what went wrong he sent an email to the government.
However it was 6 month ago. now I only have 6 months left and I was trying to do express entry to get PR visa
but I won't be able to do so with my current working place.

I want to find a new job but I don't think I can do so with six-month-left working permit.

what can I do in this situation?
should I apply PGWP by myself? I already paid about $2000 to my agent for this visa.
and he is saying he can reapply the visa but I have to pay fees again or I should do by myself.
I doubt I can do better than the professional and make difference.

I don't know what to do :(

First of all, applying for PGWP is the easiest application ever, you shouldn't pay $2000 for someone to do it. You should have gotten 3 years if your graduation letter states 2 years of full-time studies.

You could file a CSE http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp and try to get it fixed.

Other option is asking for amendment, I'm not sure if it would work now, but it really seems they made an administrative mistake.

PGWP is a one time application so you either have to try fixing the current term or unfortunately give up on PGWP as you cannot as am sure you know apply from new again. A for paying someone 2000 CDN enough said, have you asked yourself whether your agent messed up your PGWP application in the first place ?

Yes, he said he doesn't know what went wrong. And his email hasn't been answered for 6 months.
Ugh so if I can't get this fixed I have to go back to my country.

OMG you paid 2000$ to get PGWP? Are you mad? Can I know who charge such huge amount? Its very very easiest process. You can take help from your friends or room mate.

I need to ask you one question. Are you full time or part time student? If full time then nobody will stop you to get full 3 years work permit.

Second thing, when your passport expire? They will give you visa as per your passport expire date like if passport expire in 3 months then you will get only 3 months work permit then you need to renew your passport then need to apply again. In second time, you will get remain work permit. So first check passport expire which generally people don't know about this.

Its very simple procedure.
Open your account with your scotiabank account ( You need to enter card number and password thats it.) Go to this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp
Then follow direction after creating account.
You need to fill just 2 form( PGWP and Multiple entry visa form which is under additional documents).
You need to submit your passport and college letter which stated you complete your study OR transcript is also ok. Just scan this two and upload.
That's all. Its very simple

My consultant's name is "Susan Immigration".
I was full time student and graduated with associative degree of psychology.
And my passport expires on Jan 2020. So I don't think there was any problem.

Someone said I can only apply PGWP once. Isn't it true?

U've been scammed by Ur agent. She must be entered wrong the lenght of ur study. U can call cic and asked abt ur case to find the mistakes. If u r lucky, the agent will guide u. My sister called cic when her work permit extention got refused, then the agent guide her so she applied for the second time and success. Gud luck

First of all it is not Mandatory that you will get the PGWP for 3 Years, Sorry but I won't give you false hopes...... read the line on CIC's website, it says that you may be eligible for 3 Years Work Permit after you graduated.

In first place you should have not gone to "Susan Scam immigration" I paid nothing and still got it done through my College, they might have filled incorrect details while doing the PGWP Application.

Have you tried calling CIC, they might not give you the details, but you can start by asking " What will be the duration of the PGWP in general if one completes a 2 Year Associate degree" and "In what all scenarios one can get a PGWP for 1 Year".... be smart call them, and you will have the Answers.

During the Applied status when I was waiting for PGWP, I was working on a Contract and my employer offered me Permanent job, so I called CIC couple of times and one of the agent gave me the information that I can keep working legally until n unless they reject my PGWP Application, I even asked the agent if what she is saying is as per the rules then I need an E-mail from her official account stating the same.

Go back to them, You deserve to get more than a year worth of PGWP, you have earned it, keep calling them until you get the answer to all your queries.....

Hope that helps.....
Best of luck...
