Help ITA 19 April - IELTS Score

Hello Everybody,

I was wondering if somebody could help me with the following question.

I was invited to apply on April 19th. However, my IELTS score expired on May 30th as it got 2 years old. On that test I got an overall score of 8 which in total helped me get a 417 in my profile. I retook the test on June 24 and got a same overall score of 8 points which allows me to keep my 417 in my profile. So, the question is if it is ok to use the new IELTS score to send the final application or I need to drop the profile and reapply since I have a new IELTS test report.

You can safely apply as long as your score remained above the cutoff score of the draw for which you were invited.

Thank you Delpiero. Should I add a letter of explanation to it and attach the old scores to the files or just attach the new scores without the old ones?

I wouldn't withdraw my profile after the invutation. I would attach both ielts result and letter of explaInation .. Good luck !

No need to attach the old scores, simply write a short explanation in a LOE with the fact that you had to retake the test and that you're still above the cutoff score for which you received your ITA.

Isn't it that the data is locked at the time of ITA and it doesn't matter if your IELTS or anything else expires in between ITA and submition of the application? And the only thing you have to maintain during the whole process is your funds? I may be mistaken though.

No. The IETLS results must be valid when submitting the eAPR.
