Hi Experts,

I am in a big problem as my employer is not willing to write my job duties on their official employment letter. I have pressurized them as much as I can but they have their legal policies and in no way they are going to do this for me.

I don't know what to do now. I have my pay stubs and job offer letter (but none of them say my job duties). I am working full time with a Canadian media company (popular one) in Toronto.

Please provide me some suggestions as time is running out.

Thanks

Same happened with me.

You can request a letter from your manager confirming your role and job responsibilities and also provide an LOE(letter of explanation) explaining your situation and attach it to your file .

So, what documents I have to provide in total?
You can do many things from below and get as much as you can

1. Get a letter from you immediate manager including details (better on company letter head)
2. Get a letter from you co-worker with the same (better on company letter head)
3. Get a job posting similar to your job from your company website or anywhere else they have published and notarized it
4. If you job offer letter has details, attach that

I had the same issue and I did all. My PR is processing from Sep 2016 and so far so good

Thanks for the details.

I have got an employment letter from my immediate manager (but its not on a letterhead as our HR dept doesn't provide managers with access to letterheads). I have my job offer letter that details all the benefits , pay and other details (but even my job letter is not on a letter head , it just bears the company logo on the top of the letter same as my employment letter) and payslips as well that I am going to attach.

But I dont understand the logic behind getting same letter from a co-worker (my manager has written it already, why get it from the co-worker)?

Regarding point 3. , did you mean that I get the job posting from my employer website, take a print and then notarize it myself?

Can we notarize a document like that?

I had the same issue and I did all. My PR is processing from Sep 2016 and so far so good

How about this requirement "have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa." What document are you providing for this ? IS your employer giving you in written that they will offer you job from date the you get PR ? Can you please clarify what all is written in your document as I also might be needing it soon.

this is actually interesting.
Why don't you upload your job contract ? Isn't it written there what you do ?
I tell you this because i might fall into similar issue soon. My wife has a contract in which the responsabilities are stated in a very vague way. "She does things related to finance". Basically this is what is written there.

So you are saying that after ITA we will be requested to provide a full detailed employment duties letter ?

As I mentioned, it is good if it is on a letter head. The more letters you can get, it is better, that's why a colleague.

Employment letter with company logo is fine
