I am resident of india and i got married to Canadian PR last july 2012. We ought to hold filling sponsoring the spouse because of new law of FIVE YEARS restriction if sponsor is earlier being sponsored. She will bypass restriction of five years in May 2013.
I have gone through CIC website and i have come to understand many things but not all. here are detail which i would you to help in me.

We are planning to submit application for sponsor in May 2013 and i am not really sure what we need to include in it.

Do i have send police clearance or police certificate to canada and then she submit it with her files to CIC?
Do i have do medical certificate before she submit her files to CIC? I really dont know how these work. Your help is greatly appreciated...

I thank you very much for your kindly help.

All the answers to your questions can be found in the Sponsorship Guide, including a checklist of exactly what needs to be included. You (as the applicant) will send all of your forms to your sponsor after you've completed them, and she will then combine it with her forms, and send the whole package to CIC in Toronto (Mississauga). There are three guides on that page: In Part 1, you'll find the guide for the sponsor (3900). In part 2, the guide is for you, the applicant (3999). And in Part 3, you'll have to get the Information Guide specific for your country (3904).

what i confused most is that some people are directing us that medical certificate will be sent to embassy and some person said it has to send to your spouse to be submitted to CIC in Canada.
Please clarify.
Thanks for replying...

The doctor who does the examination will send the medical results to the embassy. In your application package, you will include the slip of paper from the physician that serves as proof the medical has been done. You will not receive the medical results. Do your police clearances and medical examination shortly before submitting your application as these documents expire.

Luckily, you have some time before May, so I recommend reading as much as you can on this forum (read until your eyes burn!) as most of your questions will have been answered by dedicated and helpful folks at some point.

Can anyone help me with police clearance certificate?

As i told you earlier i am resident of india and i had been to different states in india (during college or university period). Base on text on police clearance, do i need police clearance from all the states where i had live for more than six month since from 18 years? Or i need only one police clearance from the place i am presently reside?

Your insight in this matter is appreciated..

One police certificate per country.

Once again, the exact instructions are in the guide:

Police certificates

If you and your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens have to provide:

* a valid police certificate, or
* police clearance, or
* record of no information.

These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

If you go here it will give you instructions on how to obtain your police certificate:

Please specify : do we have to get the Police clearance certificate for all the family members who are above 18, but not applying ?

I will be sponsoring my Wife in India, and she has brother/sister/parents, Do we have to get the PCC for them too ?

Also, do we get Medical Certificates for all as well. ?

Only the applicants, not relatives.

She will need to list her siblings and parents on her application along with their address and marital status. CIC wants this for reasons I don't know (but I'm sure it's for security). However, they don't require any police checks, birth certificates, etc.

Unless CIC becomes suspicious your wife is also your sister...... :eek:

(It has happened!)

One who is leaving the country should need PCC, not all the family members. There is not reason for PCC for all members of family unless there are going to Canada.
