Help!! I lost passport (with canada student visa stamped in) before first flight

I lost my passport and student visa and have already got a police report. I will start my study this September in Ottawa. I have NEVER been to Canada or any other foreign countries.

Is there any convenient way to replace my student visa?

Do any one have the same experience and how you deal with this emergency?

Apply for tatkal passport n talk to embassy people there must be some alternate

1. Apply for PP under Tatkal.
2. Fill up IMM 5009 & apply for Replacement Visa.

Apply for a tatkal passport ! You will get by 2 or 3 working days..
Then as J5M said fill IMM 5009 and apply for replacement visa!

Dr raj u r right it's very cheap to say happy Diwali as someone has been caught in a worst situation as this can happen with any one. It's better to not post anything like such words if u can't help someone.

Dude, i applied for tatkal passport n i got it in 7-8 days. Please doc there is no way. I guess he has just blown up his chance. But he can hope that india will give him a passport in 3 days time. R u new in india ? Pls this is india and they will take good time. Bas bhai ungli karte rehna

Dear Lucifer,
believe it or not I got my passport the next day of my passport interview! Chennai passport office!
Your case won't be everyone's! He may be blewn his 1st chance but he has his other chance too!

well i guess he is from north india doc . I have been to chennai, people are honest there. I never say that he hasn't nother chance doc, i just sayin that he blew up his first. Hez got a lifetime to live, chances will flow in and in, oppurtunities will continue knocking But every oppurtunity will b different one.

And about chennai, its just that people are honest there. Trains reach station before or on time, while in north trains nvr reach station b4 or on time. They are always late and people are corrupt except some.

We have 2 india in 1 india. I hope u got mah point.

Bud, with all due respect, i dont wanna hurt anyone but the fact is "Truth is bitter". So, i am just speaking the truth. But i will pray for this guy that may he get his passport back and be able to go to realise his dreams....!!! I would never want anyone's dreams to be shattered.

I remember one man's case similar to this one, and he never go to canada again. he too lost his passport and visa the day b4 his flight. But the diff. is he had a job offer thn.
