In IMM 5257B section #7 Government positions, do i hvae to say yes if i am a government employee?

In the duration, ("From" and "To") column if im still a government employee to the present? The "To" portion cannot be left blank and it will not accept N/A as an answer either...

Thanks to all who will reply.

Being a government employee is not the same as having a government position.

If you were in a position where you took decisions or you were elected then yes. If not then no.

It does accept blank.

Hi Jalex! Thanks for the reply.

Would it affect my chances if in my reapplication for trv, i'll check "no" for the government position section?

I previously answered "yes" to this and put in my experience as a government employee.

Tnx in advance for the reply.

What do you mean by "previously"? a previous TRV succesful application?

Yes, a previous trv application which was denied. :(

Usually this kind of mistakes are just overlooked, so if you have given this information before it is better to leave it as it was submitted.
