I am applying to immigrate to canada as Federal Skilled Worker. I have the cheque but the only thing is that the cheque only shows RECEIVER GENERAL.......not the entire RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA...

Is it acceptable this way if canada is not mentioned?

one more ques....in additional family information form i have to provide my sisters address...the problem is she is in USA but soon be leaving to our native country....is it necessary to give correct address of family member even if they are not accompaning you to canada? will there be any address check?

About the check,
I think it;s necessary to be full name Receiver General For Canada on the check.
Even same thing happened to me,,,I told cashier full name but she thought that it's For Canada so she didnt put it and she jus put Receiver General but then i asked her to change... They sometimes think that For Canada is just like that... so make sure u get the full name on the check

about family member's address
Try to put the current addres,, i dont think matters alot.. but i put my sister's current address at the time of application.

Thanks,

V.

Sometime it does not make difference. However, amending cheque will not take that long than to wait decision on your application. I will suggest to amend and make as precisely to avoid any delays. You never know, small things can delay things..
