hello . ... help please ? THE PASSPORT PROVIDED DOES NOT COVER THE 4 YEAR

hi I JUST applied my citizenship in july 2013. And now they send me letter and tell me :
- PLEASE SEND US A PHOTOCOPY OF THE BIOGRAPHICAL PAGE OF ANY OTHER PASSPORT YOU HAVE HAD DURING THE RELEVANT 4 YEAR PERIOD ?? So my passport already expire at 2008 but I have only 1 passport , how come i send them now the other one
- what mean biographical page ? this copy all page of passport or page only photo ,names, address ,,,,,,,, please what could i do now ??????????

The application form and guide clearly state that you should submit travel documents/ passports covering the 4 year period to include any expired documents. It also states that if you do not submit something you should explain the reason why - CIC think you forgot to submit it. Biographical page is the page with your photo, place of birth, date of birth, issue date, expiry date etc. Most recent (primarily biometric) passports have this information on a single page but some passports spread this info over 2 or more pages. Send a letter explaining your situation - you appear lucky so far if they haven't returned your application so you will not lose time re-submitting.

Write them a letter explaining why you dont have your old passport. Some countries take away your old passport when they renew it. So not everyone can have the old passports. if you happen to have a copy, take copies of it and send one for your application.

Can you tell me on what date did CIC receive your application? And did they return your application or just sent you a letter? When was the letter dated and when did you receive.

they received my application at aug/21/2013 , they send to me on sep/26/2013 . they send me 1 letter , application form and 1 copy passport . 1 more thing my passport expire on 2008 but im not renewal yet . so now i have only 1 passport , what can i do now

They sent you back a letter, your application form and the passport copy??? Thats it? What about your other documents??

Usually they send everything back. I am surprised.

So you have only one passport from 2008 and no new passport? Tell them the same thing. You have only 2008 and no passport from 2008.

If you can copy and paste the contents of the letter, that will be helpful. Dont put any personal details.

there is no need to panic...there are plenty of people out there with the same circumstances....just send them the copy of your expired passport along with a letter indicating that you never traveled since hence you had no need to renew your passport. They will be getting your CBSA records anyhow which will confirm your statement.
