Healthcare/insurance for a returning Canadian

Hi,

As I would be returning to Canada (Toronto) I read that as a Canadian I will have to wait 3 months before I get any healthcare coverage. I was advised to seek a private insurance for those first 3 months in Canada.

Is this correct? how much would such an insurance cost? I was not able to find any pricing on the web.

that is correct and you will have to probably make some phone calls for quotes
