HEALTH PROMLEM AND MEDICAL INADMISSIBILITY

I would be grateful if someone could shed more light on this, though we are yet to be given the medical form but my spouse his diabetic. I would like to know if this disease can cause excessive demand? If so, what can be done to convince the CHC that it can be managed without recourse to public funds. I would not want to be rejected at this stage after waiting so long.

I've said this before and I will it again. Only CIC (Regional Medical Officer) makes the final decision whether an applicant is medically fit to be given PR visa. Even DMPs can't make that judgment let alone someone on this forum. Having said that, they don't expect ppl to be in perfect health.

I think this would make sense.
1) Diabetes of any type (1or2) is not contagious.
2) Canadian Health Insurance does not provide free Medical Prescriptions assistance to diabetic patients Like in the UK, Germany etc, so will not burden the system. Guys, correct me if I am wrong?.
3) A lot of diabetic patients actually live healthier and more disciplined than some "Normal" people. (LOL)

I think it's decided on a case by case basis. If somebody has badly controlled diabetis and they are going blind and losing their legs because of it, they may well be refused. If it's well controlled, I don't think it would be a problem.
