Did you also submit an Open Work Permit application? If so, most provinces (Quebec doesn't) allow you to get Provincial health care with an OWP which usually comes 3-5 months after submitting. If you applied for OWP call your provincial health care department and ask if those with an Open Work Permit can apply for health coverage.

Most of the time you do have to be working and have a permanent job to qualify to register for healthcare with OWP. Every province is difference so check your province.

Right. Receive your pr. Same thing as landing. I didnt make mention of the card. Pr is a status which you obtain by landing. Same thing different verbiage
