Did you also submit an Open Work Permit application? If so, most provinces (Quebec doesn't) allow you to get Provincial health care with an OWP which usually comes 3-5 months after submitting. Most of the time you do have to be working and have a permanent job to qualify to register for healthcare with OWP. Right. Receive your pr. Same thing as landing. I didnt make mention of the card. Pr is a status which you obtain by landing. Same thing different verbiageYou qualify for OHIP 3 months after landing.
However, there is a clause where you must reside in Ontario for 153 out of your first 183 days after being a PR to continue to be eligible for OHIP.
