Hi There, I'm going to be coming into Canada in a few months on a working holiday visa that is valid for 2 years stay, but I require private health care with it. Every private health care fund that I've been able to look up only seems to do 1 year health care for travelers. Can anyone recommend a health insurance fund that can do 2 years coverage for people on working visa's?

Otherwise, does anyone know if you can set yourself with 2 health care policies, one overlapping the other by a day, so that the first expires the day after the 2nd starts, to give yourself a full 2 years of health insurance for your visa?

Hi Magmaros!
You are absolutely right, none of the insurance companies offer coverage for longer than 1 year. Our company works with the majority of the insurance companies in Canada and they all cover only up to one year.
You could get 2 policies, one starting right away and the second one in a year, like you have mentioned. I think that would be the best option.

Most of our clients, who needed coverage for their 2 year working visas, ended up getting a one year policy and then extended it before it expired. Maybe you can check if that would work for you?
