Haven't received PR card

Hello,

I made my initial entry back in October 2017 from the U.S., it's been over 4 months now and I haven't received my PR card. The address on my application was a U.S. address so I tried calling and sending e-mail to CIC to update my address to a Canadian address, but never got any response.

I am now planning to complete the Solemn Declaration form and fax it to them. I still live in the U.S, but have a Canadian address now which I can use.

What is the best way to give them this address? There is a section called "Permenent Address" in the Solemn Declaration form. What does this mean? Do I enter the Canadian address here, even though it is not "permanent"? Or, is there another way to letting them know the address to mail the card to.

There is nowhere else on the form where I am able to enter an address for the PR card to be mailed.

Also, how long does this process take? Is this my best course of action now?

Please help!!

Dial this number from US to reach cic--> *67 613 944 4000 for getting your mailing address updated.
They would also be able to answer your question pertaining to permanent address.

I got a new card issued within three weeks of submitting the solemn declaration form.

Thank you, did you also apply for Solemn Declaration from the US? What address did you enter on the form?

Also, would customer service be able to check the status of the application? That is, whether the card was mailed or not?

Has anyone been in this situation? Please advise.
