Well at least no one else seems to have had their applications lost like what happened to my friend.

So I wouldn’t be so quick to complain about how slow the process is :-)

The thread has sure been quiet. Any news anyone? Has anyone heard what months are getting pre-arrival invitation? Or interview requests?

I think many people moved over to the Mexico thread, but it would be great if we could keep each other posted on Havana news. Has anyone heard of services like interviews opening up in Havana again?

We have passed the medicals just recently, and now we are waiting to see what the next step is. October 12th, 2018 application received.

For the Cuba folks now processing through Mexico - the Mexican embassy in Cuba just announced that any interviews scheduled for today and beyond have been rescheduled. No explanation provided. I don't think this affects a lot of us, but good to know.

Does anyone know if they are doing what they did before at the Canadian embassy with respect to getting the visas into passports - you drop off the passport in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon? Has anyone done that recently? Just curious.

Yes you drop off mon-thurs 830 to 10:00 it takes a few hours. Several have been done. Also the option is to mail to mexico. Which is what we did, but it is two weeks now no word. It was delivered but not stamped yet. But with the fuel shortage people have having difficulty finding transportation to Havana. No easy process either way.

Thanks. I agree that there is no easy way. I am hearing that transportation within Cuba is worse every day.

Depending on distance and pocketbook depth, Cubataxi still has access to gasoline. So there is always that option.

Yes - I think the issue is more with diesel than with gasoline, right?

Has anyone successfully sent documents to the embassy in Mexico from Cuba via DHL?

Thanks in advance for any input!
