Hey
Hope everyone had a great weekend . Quick question .. so i sent in me and my wife's application about 2 weeks ago and Canada post said it was delivered and it was signed by an immigration officer , but now what . I have not received confirmation of anything , i just want to know that they have my sponsorship application . how long did it take you guys ? is there anything i should be doing now other than waiting ?

thanks
Nope all u can do is wait. At least u know it arrived. When they will actually get to it who knows.

Mr.Keilani,

It's quite variable when you actually get your AOR, but the time to SA is very well established.
It can be anywhere between 30 to 50 days until they actually tell you that they received it, but currently only 56 days to get approved.

In other news, we received our DM about an hour ago!
Dear Sir/Madam,

This refers to the application for permanent residence received at this office. Please be advised that we have concluded processing the file and wish to convoke applicant and daughter for final review and possible visa issuance September 30, 2015, at 8:30 am. Documents required:
-Passport
-2 Correct visa photos. Size: 35 x 45 mm and head must be between 25 mm and 30 mm.

I have two questions:
1. Is the presence of both the applicant (my wife) and daughter required, or may my wife complete the process on the behalf of both?

2. Do the documents required need to be submitted prior to September 30, 2015, or should the documents be brought to the embassy on that date?

Well tomorrow is ten months and have not heard a thing!! I emailed them today and they have not responded yet. Usually they respond within an hour!!

If your application was in Havana on November 26 or 27, then this weekend is 10 months, meaning they'll respond as if to a "slow" application on Monday. Officially, the application isn't overdue until a year after they receive it. It's just that 80% of the cases take 10 months or less. Unfortunately, you are in that last 20%. Have you requested your GCMS notes at all?

Generally, it takes a month delay if they want your RPRF and it's not been processed before. However, you are in the end-game now. In our case, they asked for a new housing form on August 21 and we received the DM today, so 5 working weeks later.

Try to focus on your date of travel rather than the totally unknown date of when CIC will move on.

My husband was at the embassy about six weeks ago and they told jim i had to pay the right of permanent residency fee i was unaware i could pay it sooner. So cic told me Aug 24 it was registered in their system as paid. I will wait for them to respond to my email as i am planning on going to Cuba around tge twelve of October for a couple of weeks with hopes of bringing him home with me!

UPDATE-- Havana replied to my email and told me my husband will be called for an interview in the months to come?? How long did everyone wait for their interview date??

What day did the Havana embassy receive the application?

That's strange. I thought maybe you got confused and were counting from the date you sent it to Mississauga. You should contact your MP and see if they can do anything

I went to the mp's office today and she didn't seem to want to do anything! ! I will visit another mp on monday my application was filed in Mississauga on March 25/2014!! It has been sixteen months now and they lost my file in mississauga!!!

Wow that is crazy! Keep strong and hopefully you can get someone to help you

Has most people been waiting 10 months in total or 2 months in Mississauga then another 10 months in Havana??
