No interview or anything. I have lots of questions for everyone and want to say thanks for the advice and info. I haven't been replying because I'm working 13 hour shifts, but I couldn't help share this news and let rainbow know to tell her husband to keep his phone really, really close!!!

I haven't a clue!!! I have no idea what to do next...im just drunk and giddy with excitement!!!
I do think we will wait till Feb to fly. My family is all booked to go down Jan 4 for our babies birthday on the 5th. We need to see embassy about babies passport and whatever we need to do for PRV. Perhaps we may make a family trip to Havana or I can change my flight and stay a few days. Gotta love Westjet $50 policy. I book all my flights as one way trips cause of my changing work schedule.
She did say something about a $400 dollar fee. Probably same deal as Shuster and I have the same feeling of just paying whatever they ask to get it over with.

That's great. I meant to ask, when does she pick up her Canadian visa at the embassy?

The embassy said we need to pay her landing fee at the office where I opened up the file and give them a copy of our daughter Sophie's passport before she can get the visa. I don't know what this landing fee is or which office. I am assuming the Mississauga office??? I have to go look that up....

You can pay it online. It's the right of permanent resident fee. $400 or $490 I can't remember now which.
Do it as quick as possible. This can hold up the process for weeks!!

Thank you shuster. I am so glad this forum exist. So far I have been doing it on my own but having this forum makes it easier to find things and get great tips and advice. I will find out my dates to post on the spreadsheet. They should also add a column for use of a representative. I never used a lawyer. They scared me to much when I asked for a quote that didn't even include my daughter.

I found the place to pay. What do we do with the receipt once we have it? Do we just keep it and take it to Havana with us? OMG...I haven't been thru the paperwork stress in a few months. It makes the waiting part of this whole experience seem like a much needed break on the nerves..

Pay it online. And then I would email the receipt as well to the embassy in Havana with your file numbers attatched to it.

WE GOT THE PVE TODAY!!!!!

He went with a lawyer and they insisted he still pay the $400 for the "medical"
We couldn't keep fighting, let Fidel keep his money, I just want my hubby here.

So he should be here in a week more or less. He is still in the paperwork process of gettin his house sold and moving his parents, but all that is going well. We should know by Friday the exact date he is coming!!

Hi everyone; still nothing from Havana. This waiting is driving me crazy.

His medical had expired this month and they didn't ask for a new medical. Noticed last week "Medical results received" was posted. How I understand Bulletin 423; they can only ask for reassessment of medical if nothing else is pending. So hopefully something soon..............
I leave in 12 days; can't wait.......it would be nice to hear something before I go.

Once I hear I will let you know.

Hubby just got the call! buuutttt, we have an interview, and its dec 24, which is incredibly sucky timing but its fine! good news is ill be there with him at the interview and we`ll be able to go together! I feel like itll be impossible to leave together on the 3rd but it wont be too long after that for it all to be over. Now im gonna be nervous as hell till that interview is done!!!! ???
