lol yes. A store here had a bunch of winter jackets on sale for 50% off, so I bought Luis one. Since he won't be able to find a decent winter jacket there. I'll meet him at the airport with it lol.

Yeah I'm guessing there aren't many winter jackets for sale in Cuba either lol. Unfortunately for our guys, it looks like they will be arriving just in time for winter.

yes the one season I had hoped to slide him into...but on the other hand....nothing like jumping into with both feet so to speak.....and I don't care if its the coldest day of the year as long as it means they are coming!!!!

My husband has a good amount of clothes considering he's cuban! I already bought extra storage boxes to keep winter/summer clothes and shoes (im a shoe maniac..... )

Its funny my friends were JUST saying that they wanted to all chip in and buy leonel a really, really good winter jacket, like the warmest you could get! He'll be "one of those" with the tuque, the scarf, the gloves... etc... lol

You guys know what i think about that will be probably the worst part? You know when you step off the plane in the winter here, and you cross that little tiny crack along the plane and the landing walking place?? Do you know how terrible that'll be for them?? LOL

Avana I am a shoe hound and purse hound as well.......LOL.....Yoani too has a ton of clothes for a Cuban and a decent collection of shoes/flip flops/boots......so it is going to be interesting to see who wins the closet war.......

Through a friend....my best friend is married to a Cuban and the three of us were staying at a hotel in varadero and there was a bunch of us the beach....me, my friend, her husband, his cousin and a couple of other friends and Yoani went walking by and my friend's husband gives him a whistle and waves him over and the rest was history.......LOL.....had been going to Cuba for years and always had fun but swore I would not get involved in a long distance relationship.......but then bam.....he hit me between the eyes......so since meeting Yoani I have taken "never" out of my vocabulary.......I have broken too many "nevers" with him.... ;D

hahaha....me exactly Avana....never to a long distance relationship....never to a cuban...never get married again.....LOL......yes girlfriends are the best source of comfort these days....and luckily for me my best friend is married to a cuban so of course we can talk the night away....and I have met two other girls married to cubans who don't live far from me and we try and get together as well.......my family is awesome and supportive and so are my friends but as you know it is hard to discuss with them the stress of this process....how it feels to be apart....etc. so I have been blessed with meeting some great people to help get over this time....

Just a little question... anybody know if Havana is slower at processing PR`s if my husband didnt put his email address on the forms? He just told me (maybe I knew when we did it but forgot...) that he didn't put the e-mail address because it's technically not his. Belongs to a radio station which in turn belongs to the govt... so he didnt want to have any problems (although im sure he wouldnt have been the first person in cuba borrowing someone else's email).

Will it take longer to contact by phone as opposed to e-mailing him? whether regarding PPR or Interview?

Avana.....they will call him by phone...we put my husband's email down and cell phone and they called his cell and said phone is their preference......so don't worry about that.....and your husband was smart not giving out that email address!!!!

yeah....don't hold your breath for Havana........ Like I said earlier I sent an email and got a dumb generic one sent back....but having said that......I would give them 2 months from approval date and then email.....it can't hurt!!!!

well hoping that shuster2210 hears something by end of September and lambchop should be in there as well..if they hear within the next 3 to 4 weeks then you should hear by end of october!!!! but it is really hard to know how many files are actually being processed because there are so few of us on this forum!!!
