but in your case the file was sent back twice? if you apply inland when it's supposed to be outland that's a completely different application is it not - I am just trying to see if the CIC would contact earlier than later if there was an issue... like a minor one... anyhow regardless... I will ALWAYS stay true to my theory...

NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!!!

Good luck with the medical its coming up soon! Hopefully you get some good news soon- if not, JUST MOVE THERE and they wont be able to say no to you!!!

xo

I submitted our application August 22 and they requested stuff Sept 25th. then i got AOR dec 25th or something like that and transfer to havana Jan 6th.... Back in 2014/15 of course

It was a mistake by CIC when they put our application in Inland and we would never have known that had I not contacted my MP and they called CIC to see why it was taking more than the number of days and CIC said the file was put in Inland My MP informed them that my spouse was in Cuba and that this was an Outland file so that was another delay. It seemed we had an incompetent agent It has been a nightmare ever since

My husband got the visa today!!! He's on his was to Toronto tomorrow!! I wanted to thank everyone on this forum for lending their experience and insight, without it i would've been even crazier through this process. Our wait was 1 year since the file arrived in Havana ( 15 months if i include the sponsorship process). What i've learned, no two cases are the same, nothing seems "fair", anxiety can kill you and patience is key. All the best to those who are still "in process" , stay calm, positive and close to your spouse and things will work out.

My husband was called on Friday and he's going to get his visa tomorrow morning. I'm going to Cuba on the 27th to go get him. Yaaaay!

Congratulations!!!!! My hubby was there today too. All the best to you and your husband.

Hahaha apparently all the Cuban spouses were talking to each other and talked about their stories. Maybe our husbands spoke too :)

My husband said the same thing! He even met a new friend coming to Toronto!

My wife officially got her visa today as well.
She was called in at 8:30am on the dot (surprising for Cuba) lol there was about 25 total people. After 15 min about 20 if not everyone all had the wrong size photo for the visa(Not surprising for Cuba)!! Basically issuing a visa just turned into a big field trip for everyone. Everyone Scattered to go to the nearest photo booth to have the picture taken. Everyone returned around 9:45 with the correct visa photos. At 11:00 they returned all the documents in the application that was submitted. Some people did not receive there visa due to missing information. Around 12-12:30 they had everyone leave the embassy and return for 2:30pm for visa issuing.

About the photo. This is true. My wife told me the exact same thing. Every single person had to redo it in Havana. Someome had mentioned this as well earlier.

How long after you sent the doc's in they requested did they contact you for the visa?

So far it's looking like once the file arrives in havana and there are no red flags for them they process within 2-4 months...but if there are red flags are they will require an interview they wait until the 10 month mark to contact you about an interview.

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS GOTTEN THEIR VISA! Nice to see a bit of relief on here finally.

Immigration is quick, they go through get their papers and are sent off.
