I was hoping you would hear something more than that. But to me it sounds like they have the file. I emailed them last week about hubby's correct address, and no response.
Quite a few people this year that I have seen have been in the 5-8 month period for approval so hopefully we will be too.
Im still going to drop off the additional proof when im down there.
2 additional trips plus all the communication is quite significant so I'd rather do it now than be asked for it later on.

You will probably hear next week shuster2210....they took 11 days to respond to me........and definitely when you go down in September take your additional proof in....if we haven't heard anything by end of september I am booking a trip for October and will do the same thing. That is good to know about the 5 to 8 month period....it is hard to find timelines on this for sure......so best case scenerio maybe Christmas and worst case spring!!!! Oh the joys of waiting....

hey ccunnington......hahaha 10kg.....it will stop the boat from being tossed about..LOL.....yes continuing proof after submission of the application...some trips....cards...letters....etc.....was hoping the next trip down would be for interview but as with everything these days it is a wait and see situation!!!!

Wait and see for stage 2 is gonna be more stressful that wait and see for stage 1! I'm at week 9 of a potential 64 week process in Bogota! ARGHHHHH...

yeah you are so so right.....honestly I didn't think it was going to bother me this much.....I knew it could be up to 10 months in Havana.....but I guess until you are in the process your self you really don't know how you are going to deal with it......well Bobota is slightly worse than Havana so we are in the long haul together ccunnington!!!

KJG - I think 5-8 month is a very realistic time frame. For Mexico the average was 13 months and the AOR letter said 6. And most people were getting it by 6 months. So there's a chance he could be there by christmas! That's my goal too!

yep...I can live with a 5 to 8 month time frame.....just wish it wasn't incommunicado......!!! But I guess we can't have everything......

Yeah it would be nice to have something to put your mind at ease. What would the next step be after AOR (since maybe they skipped this)? Do you have any extra steps to do in Step 2? For Mexico we have to get police checks done in Step 2, and that takes a good month or more to do!

as far as I know there are no next steps other than to wait and see if there is an interview.....police checks are done...and meds are done....so we just wait to hear.....they have my husband's cell number and email address so contact will be by one of those means.......

So if they don't require an interview.. your next step would be approval!!

that is correct ;D ;D ;D - I always thought it was pretty much mandatory that cubans had interviews but apparently not.....there are a few who go without.......so I will sit and wait....patiently......I am over my disappointment of yesterday and today is looking much better.....no sense in wallowing in self-pity!!!! ;D
