This question concerns Family Class Outland Spousal sponsorship applications.
There are many of us facing the situation where we went to undergo the medical examination and received the Copy 2 of the Medical Report Section A instead of the newly instated Copy 1 of Medical Report: Client Biodata and Summary for the IMM 1017 after November 1st 2012, when the new format of the document came into effect.
I have read pretty much everything google offered me on forums and saw many situations, such as:
My question to everyone who sent their application AFTER November 1st 2012 and filed with the old copy 2 of medical report is:
Has Mississauga accepted that as valid or have they asked for the new format of IMM 1017?
I'm asking whether Mississauga accepted it or not since I know that they also check the sponsored person's file for completion.

- some people called the immigration/visa office and were told that the old copy 2 could still be used
- others went back to the designated practitioner's office and got the new format
- there are people suggesting that some doctors hadn't received the update or weren't able to implement it
