Has anyone recently applied for PRTD to Abu Dhabi office? I'm trying to understand what the normal processing times are?

My wife has applied from Pakistan and we're trying to understand what the normal processing times are.

Also, we have been trying to contact the Abu Dhabi office via email/MP office regarding an urgent matter. I am still waiting for response from MP office, however, when I sent the email it states something along the lines of using the "web form" or the email will be ignored.

Has anyone contacted this office in the past? What was the best approach?

Thank you.

Does she meet her RO? Whether it is a normal PRTD or PRTD based on H&C makes a big difference. What type of urgent matter? The MP can’t intervene in most immigration issues unless timeline has been much longer than average. When did your wife apply for the PRTD?

4. urgent matter - Daughter ( 4 yr old) with disability is with my wife and cant travel back on her own. Daughter has ongoing therapy and her special needs school starts Sept 1. The therapy and school is fairly critical for her.

Not sure if that will be considered urgent for processing. If your wife left Canada without her PR card she knew there would be difficulties returning. If she has been gone for over a month the therapy is not life sustaining so not sure if it would be considered urgent if she missed a few weeks. You can certainly try.

Hey Raja,

Any update on your situation? I have applied from Pakistan as well and wondering how long is it taking these days.

Hi Bleach, so few interesting developments since,

1. On aug 02 they had asked for additional docs and we sent them per their instructions. Aug 30 we did multiple enquiries and finally got a response that they did not receive the docs (not sure what happened as we followed their directions). We immediately send the documents again around sep 01 or 02. And continued to hound them about the process and urgency
2. Alhmd, yesterday we received the request to send passport for visa. So it took about 6 weeks. Now we are trying to figure out how long the passport delivery will take. I'd like to book the flight tickets right now to take advantage of pricing as prices are only going up
