Hello everyone,

My husband is in Canada and well.. He is living there illegaly. I know I know, cut the drama. I am suffering enough already. We are trying to work things out. I want to move too. But not illegally. Anyhoo, I have a B.A in English language and Literature and I have been working as a teacher since .. forever!

Anyway, I was looking for the cheapest universities in Canada and Memorial was the first on the list. I went through the fees and all and yes it is better than many good universities which I cannot afford. I do have ssome confusion though. I am applying for M.A in English language and Literature and there are two things mentioned in the fees section. It says M.A funding is 10,950 CAD. And tuition fees is 5,688 CAD.

What is funding? I mean, what is the actual fees here? I contacted the representatives but I am not getting any response. Can anyone help me here?

Second part, I am seeing a lot of people getting job offers in Canada. How do you guys get around and get these offers? I really want to move there, partly for my studies and partly to be with my husband. :(

One of two possibilities.

Either the funding is 11k and the tuition is 5.6k, in which case you pay no tuition they give you 5.4k for living expenses.

Or

The total tuition fees is 11k+5.6k and they are offering to cover you for 11k and you pay the rest along with your living expenses.

Typically, it's the first option at most universities that offer funded masters programs.
