Has anyone applied for refugee during 2021 in Quebec and receive their first interview date yet ?

Hey guys, this is my timeline for far, I applied in May 26th, 2021 for refugee status inside Canada in Quebec, I did my medical June 19th, 2021, nothing else still waiting until now, when I applied I requested a work permit also on the application. Is there any chance I can get the work permit before my first interview, before I have my brown paper? I have heard people are waiting for a year until the first interview and I’m terrified that would be my case too. Please kindly let me know

Wait times for interviews are generally over a year.

Some people here have had work permits approved before the interview but others have not and are waiting for their interviews without a work permit.

I don't know why some have been able to get work permits before their interviews and others have not. I'm sure others will comment.

I didn’t do a separate application for my work permit, I did it within the refugee application, do people still get approved and mailed to their home like that?
