I am just wondering if anyone that has been successful in FSW in 2013 or previously has submitted Employer Reference Letters but no additional documents or payslips or contracts, and still been accepted/landed in Canada?

I have all my reference letters ready, but it's going to be too difficult to track down all my old payslips, contracts, tax forms, etc, and some employers (even my current one) don't want to release that stuff anyway...

And the guide says that the reference letters are REQUIRED, but that Additional Supporting Documents MAY INCLUDE: .... which suggests to me that this is optional/not-mandatory, if we choose not to.

Does anyone think it could have a negative effect on my application if I only submit the Reference Letters but with no other supporting docs.?

Will it be enough proof for CIC to just call my past employers if they have any questions?

Thanks.

I don't think I am going to go to the trouble of getting payslips, contracts, etc, etc

I'm just going to submit the ref letters and that's it.

Anyone else?

I didn't attach pay slips, either ; just experience certificates with job description. Worked for me.

But if the reference letter does not mention the salary (like some companies, as a policy, do not mention salary on the reference letters), then payslips have to be attached.

Ok great. thanks guys.

I have just the reference letters. But the description of duties on some of my letters is VERY brief. Like one line or 2 small sentences.
For some types of jobs, the scope of duties is very narrow anyway, I mean some jobs out there only involve 1 single duty.

So you think it would be okay if the duties were covered only briefly in the letters?
