My DM was on 16th Feb and no news till now, My kids passport set to expire in Aug and I have travel plans in July, don't know if I have to wait some more time for the Oath email or have the passports renewed.

Ah i see.
Well, We all know how uncertain this is but I'd still suggest you to just wait, I think it'll come by May or at worst by June. You'll still be able to apply for urgent passport. Instead of spending that money on passport renewal. If I'm guessing it right your kids can't hold dual citizenship so getting a new passport is not worth it.

If the country you're traveling to is same as your nationalities then the 6 months passport validity rule doesn't apply. And as long as their PR card is valid your kids can come back even if the passport has only a week to expire.

Someone else on the forum had his pr card expiring soon and is gonna travel. He waited before reapplying for a new PR card and ended up receiving oath invite.

Let's hope the same thing happens to your fam as well.

My parents are unwell and I wanted to travel to India but worried the oath ceremony invite might come and I have to come back soon.

Very nice to hear such kind words from a fellow applicant. Is your a family/paper application?
Looking at your timelines I am hopeful that I will get my oath invite next month. yes, we are travelling to India, my homeland, India does not have dual citizenship so there's no point in renewing the passport if we have to surrender soon after. Anyways we should be back before the kids passport expire.

I received my invite email about 2 weeks ahead of ceremony, and the certificate was delivered 10 days after oath.

Did anyone apply around April 2020 and still waiting for the oath invitation? For me, everything is completed except the oath invitation. I really don't know what is barring them to complete the final step!

Our AOR is March 2020...but still no news on Oath ceremony. Hamilton office is veryyyy slow!!!!!! They dont pick up the phone also...Not sure how to speed up the process.
