Had surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome, will that impact medical exam?

Are you applying as a spouse or common law partner? In that case, you cannot be disqualified based on the medical, no matter what. .
It's actually for parent so not exempt from excessive demand. Would this cause any excessive demand concern? Would additional tests be requested?
The cutoff for medical inadmissibility is if the person's yearly treatment costs are expected to exceed $20,000 a year.
There's no special tests, they only test for infectious diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis and syphilis during the medical exam. Carpal tunnels don't pose a threat to other people in Canada so that's fine in that sense.
Yes there can certainly be special tests but it is unlikely for carpal tunnel. Things like extra cardiac tests are routinely ordered.
Carpal tunnel syndrome and ganglion cysts are not medical conditions that require long follow ups and consume lots of health care resources.
So I doubt it would impact on the medical. I think they are more concerned with things like HIV, TB, Cancer, Renal failure, Children with severe congenital problems.
