It's for parent. Are you applying as a spouse or common law partner? In that case, you cannot be disqualified based on the medical, no matter what. .
It's actually for parent so not exempt from excessive demand. Would this cause any excessive demand concern? Would additional tests be requested?Carpal tunnel surgery will not make you medically inadmissible. As previously mentioned spousal sponsorship does not have a medical inadmissibility clause.
The cutoff for medical inadmissibility is if the person's yearly treatment costs are expected to exceed $20,000 a year. It's actually for parent so not exempt from excessive demand. Would this cause any excessive demand concern? Would additional tests be requested?
Yes there can certainly be special tests but it is unlikely for carpal tunnel. Things like extra cardiac tests are routinely ordered. The cutoff for medical inadmissibility is if the person's yearly treatment costs are expected to exceed $20,000 a year.
There's no special tests, they only test for infectious diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis and syphilis during the medical exam. Carpal tunnels don't pose a threat to other people in Canada so that's fine in that sense.
Carpal tunnel syndrome and ganglion cysts are not medical conditions that require long follow ups and consume lots of health care resources.A follow up question, friend had a surgery to remove carpal ganglion cyst, will that impact medical exam result?
No.@canuck78 , anything need to be prepared before and during the exam that can facilitate ME pass? Thanks.
