H1B stamping from canada.

Greetings,

My husband holds a Canadian work permit valid till Oct 2013. I am accompanying him on a visitor visa (single entry and 6 months validity). My Open work permit is initiated after entering canada (initiated in Oct 2012) and I entered canada in July 2012. I have a job back in India and I am on a vacation(unpaid long leave) currently. My employer has initiated an H1B visa for me while I was in India. I have recently got approval for that from USCIS. Can I get my H1B stamping done from Canada? Please let me know if any more information is required to be able to answer this question correctly.

Thank you very much Deepak for your reply. But I have a doubt here that I still did not get the approval for my open work permit(OWP) in canada. So being on a visitor visa can I get my H1B stamping done? or I need to get the approval for my OWP before initiating my H1B stamping?

Yes you can.I got my h1b stamping done in Canada.But you missed a point here.Do you have a degree from USA ?If you have degrees only from India and not USA,then,according to the law,you should go back to home(India) to get the stamping in India.The US consulate in Canada will be unable to evaluate your education if you have Indian degree.(I know its a wierd law :,but that's how it is)
