Manny,

AINP have been fairly consistent with FIFO on the file numbers. Your case is probably the first where I saw such a big discrepancy. Wonder what happened?

Manny,

I filed the complete one on Jan 8th and got the number on Mar. 20th.
However, the number is 84X. I am not sure why your file number is 7XX but received on March 24th.

In the PNP email, they said "
Thank you for applying to the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). This is to confirm receipt of your AINP application on December 17, 2009. A decision on your application may be made in approximately 40 to 60 working days. Please note, however, that processing times vary depending on the volume of applications received.
"
What is your initial application date?

Gurus,

Question for you. I applied for the AINP H1B category under 2171 NOC. I Got pre-assesment letter dated 01-05-09, and formal application with the ABPNP 003 form was mailed on 01-30-09. I applied with the help of a lawyer who i was involved with when i first applied a year ago to the Federal PR, but my occupation was not in the 38 list. He has confirmed that Alberta should have recieved the application, as the lawyer sent using registered post. But i have not recieved a file number yet. Any ideas? Please help.

Regards
SA

Good observation. I wanted to bring out the fact that the file numbers are being sent out based on whether you had pre-assessment or not. I am under new process, and the only one on this list.

i already posted following to layoff thread but thought of posting it again here for new people

i sent an email to Alberta and check out their reply

Following is the exact post of their email

Good day;

The rules prior to Feb 19, are that a candidate is eligible as long as they meet the requirements at the time of application.

For applications after Feb 19, your will still need to meet the eligibility requirements at the time a final decision is made regarding nomination – meaning
Your H1-B visa needs to current and valid and you need to be legally working at the time of final decision by the AINP.
You are always required to notify the AINP of any changes of employment conditions or change of address if your situation changes following nomination by the AINP.

Any changes to your status or contact information can be emailed to us, please reference your name, address and birth date, and file reference number if you have one.

Manny, its a nice way to organize our information, but I think you got my dates confused with someone elses. So for everybody's benefit I thought I should copy paste the correct dates from my previos post,
"
PNP Alberta Office received my application............. December 31st 2008 (USPS Tracking)
File # received.................................................. February 20th 2009
File # ending with.............................................. xxxx-xx-0593

That is 50 days later....! "

And for your table it'd be like...

Who Appln Recd by AINP File # File # recd
sirsmak 31/12/2008 0593 02/20/2009

thanks

Hi,

I sent it on 19 Feb. Do I need to maintain status when they nominate? I understand that applications post marked before 15 Apr can apply under old NOC. Which means they consider the day sent than the day received.

Thanks for the advice. I have faxed the birth facts sheet and a letter. Let's see.

Hi Friends,

I have recd an email from AINP (dated3/28) asking me to provide them with copy of my latest pay stub and my original offer letter (from 2006) from my employer. Has anyone else recd such a request before (or current)?..how long has it taken since this request to actually receive the "Nomination Cert"?

Thanks..

P.S: My file # is XXXX-XX-0655 & you can see my timelines in previous pages..

Has any one received file number apart from folks on list below? please reply so that I can update. Thanks.

Ell.Bee

I am sure you mentioned this earlier and my apologies for asking again, but did you submit your application to AINP under the old process (with pre-assessment) or under the new process (without pre-assessment)?

Cheers,

Manny,

In the list you mentioned did any of them get their file numbers without preassesment? if yes, can you please list their timelines, so we can assess when we will get our file numbers.

Thanks in advance.
