Wow...so u r a resident of AB haan!! good for you :)

yeah...you are right about DC and VA. pretty close.

FBI check and VA criminal check can be done real quick, i guess. I am wondering abt TX because things are a little confusing with regards to forms in the website. with regards to PCC from India god only know how our dear indian fellows in consulate behave when i go there for this purpose.
Well Don't blame your people. After all they got workload. They have to assist 600,000-700,000 Indian residing at east coast. They even stoped answering telephone. From Power of Attorney to Marriage certificate, They are overloaded.

Definitely not blaming anyone. I just wish they are more polite in their approach :)

thanks.
There will be no issue. Just be there early because counter get close at 12:00 Noon and then open at 3:30 for documents collection. From 9:30 AM till 12:30 PM. Within these three hours you have to manage. Best bet is to take metro instead of Drive. Just get off at Dupont Circle Metro on Red line and walk about 4-5 blocks on Massachusetts Avenue, Right in front of Turkish Emabssy and just after Embassy of Japan, you will see an elephant statue and this is Embassy of India Consular section.

thanks divagirl...appreciate your response. i dont mean to drag this conversation but can you tell me the fastest way of getting PCC done in US? With regards to PCC from India, i believe we can go to the Indian Embassy in DC and get it done. Please advice. Thanks in advance.

What stage in this process are you in right now? Good luck!!
For India PCC you will have to find out in what jurisdriction you are in. If you are in VA, then you will have to apply at the Embassy in DC. Mind you, to apply at the DC embassy, you will have to submit your passport to them until your PCC comes thro. Hi Fellow aspirants,

I applied for AINP in the month of March. I will be returning to my home country this month as I was laid off. I am aware that I should be on H1-B during the time of nomination. In case, if I got lucky and happen to receive the nomination, can I apply to CIC from my home country?

Thanks
_P

sad to hear that. However, I do not think that will happen. Because the AINP knows your status ASA your emplyer files to USCIS.
Why not find another job or consider the other country, such as new zealand.
Best

albertagovernor: these PCC's are just for the primary applicant or for spouse also? thanks in advance.
PCC's are always for Individual. What if your spouse is Bin laden? You need for Both.

Really?? How does AINP know about your "current" link to USCIS? USCIS is not going to inform the AINP fellas......

So the latest file number is 09-1310?

That are more than 1300 applications, vow.
latest is 1360 for AlbertaH1
looks like they are receiving at least 700 applications per month. Thats why they revised the occupation list.

I heard somewhere - not confirmed info- that, as per Federal Alberta treaty, overall Alberta can nominate 2000 applications per year. That includes 3 categories -family, alberta employed and H1B SRS. So in case of H1B SRS they may nominate 650 people per year max. Same 650 for Family. Lots of people apply for family stream, nominations are limited. This can be confirmed by the processing times of family stream which is like 2 years.

Also, we have seen that they nominate max 50-60 people per month, which again is around 650/year. People currently applying wont see a decision at least by middle of 2010 but due to modified occupation list applications might reduce and things can turn around faster.

I DON'T BUY THAT! AINP IS NOT GOING TO WASTE THAT MUCH OF MONEY AND RESOURCES FOR 650 ODD FOLKS.

Thanks,

Hi Friends,

I tried to do some analysis on above table data. Here is the link for the same:
