Please let's know how long it took you to get the Indian PCC.
Anyone got it thru mail (and had a passport issued from SFO?) - i believe then the time to get it is only 10 days.
Thanks

Will let you know full details once i am apply for PCC. Planning to go in person to apply at San Francisco consulate - did google some info about SF consulate and found few posts saying - They are pretty fast. Passports issued in US do take less time for PCC but I have passport issued from India so i guess it will take longer time.

Any body please correct me If I am wrong with following:

I am single and filing Permanent residence for my self only. And I am looking at IMM 0008 file help documents, There it says " FAMILY MEMBERS INCLUDE"

1) Spouse
2) Common - law partner
3) Dependent children

That means I don't have to enter any information on IMM 0008 - Details of family members page correct ?

I just need to write N/A on those fields correct (The first row only )

I would be very grateful if any one can help me with this.

Thanks

Hi there,
I just got my nomination and getting my paper work put together. On CIC application forms..there are some questions at right
hand side column where they as. If you have ever applied for canadian immigration?..and another says " If you have been denied for canadain immigration?"...
I am confused if I shoud say yes there or not. I actually applied under FSW but due to change in rules. my NOC doesnt include in the
CIC FSW NOC list so, they sent my appliction back with refund.
I am confused what i should say in AINP CIC application.. is it considered as deniel?

pk933,

Write the appropriate reason for wht u applied and under wht reasons ur application was returned.
u can write this way "I applied for federal skilled worker on so and so date due to some reason it was returned and applied for ainp"

Hi

One of the condition for applying PCC from Indian Consulate is mention below,
2)What supporting Documents relating to the purpose for obtaining the P.C.C.. I

which consulate r you going to? Go to the website of that consulate & look for Miscellaneous form under consular services...there you will find complete details of what document is required. In San Francisco India Consulate they require: + also take a letter saying you require it for Canada Immigration - put your name & address. (i plan to take this along-though i dnt know if it will be required)

If applying by mail, have you enclosed the following:

- Notarized copy of Proof of Residence – State Driving License, State ID, lease agreement, any
utility bill. These are the only documents accepted as proof of residence.
- Notarized copy of first three and last two pages of passport
- Passport in original
- Apostilled Original document to be attested/authenticated
- Photocopy of document to be attested/authenticated
- Cashier's cheque (no cash please) for requisite fees
- Stamped self-addressed envelope or $ 20 (twenty) in cashiers' cheque (no cash please) for
return mail

If applying in person, have you enclosed the following:
- Completed Miscellaneous Service Application

- Photocopy of Proof of Status – Green Card, visa, visa extension
Document. Etc (Please present to the Consular Officer the original of the document you

hello all,
By what time frame do you think you'll send in the application to CIC? Can we expect to get the FBI clearance, PCC, State by end of January?

Hi Manny,

I'm hoping to collect all PCCs in 2 months. FBI clearance takes 8-10 weeks (according to FBI website) and international ones sometimes take even longer. State PCCs are usually fast (I received California PCC in 4 days. But state PCCs are not required in initial CIC application.).

I received my nomination on 12/4/09, and I'm planning (or hoping...) to send application to Buffalo by the end of January.

Birth Certificate

Where Does it say that we need the birth certificate??

Visa Office Specific Instructions for Buffalo: http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLish/pdf/kits/guides/E37048.pdf

You'll find it in page 3 of the instruction:
2. IDENTITY AND CIVIL STATUS DOCUMENTS
Birth, marriage, final divorce, annulment or separation certificates for you and
your spouse or common-law partner.
If married previously more than once,
include certificates from each and every marriage and divorce you, your spouse
or common-law partner have had.

Hi

At the time of submitting the application for Alberta Nomination, we filled all CIC application docs like IMM 0008 etc and send those copies to Alberta. So I am thinking we are going to submit the Original ( which is signed and dated at that time, means old date) now for CIC Process. Am I correct. How you guys are going to do that. Please let us know.

Thankyou
Virgo

You don't have to sent that original. The reason they asked us to filled those form was because they wanted to make sure that we know what we need to send to CIC once nominated. You can send them new IMM 0008 form dated currently

In IM0008 form there is field Visa office requested for the process of your application

Do we need to leave this blank or type N/A ? I think this one is for them to fill out correct?

Thanks
