you gotto be unlucky but just wondering ,what if fingerprints get rejected then one would have to wait again for next 2-3 months to get FBI fingerprinting results.
I agree. I want the CIC process to be as short as possible, so I'll send my application with FBI clearance.virgo said:Yes I heard we can submit the application with out FBI Certificate or PCC.I read some posts in here in this forum even they got their PR with out asking for FBI,State PCC.
But if dos'nt take much time, I prefer submitting the application with all necessary documents.May be it will make a month difference.

The doc is with my cousin in Maryland. They send me a scanned image and here are the dates on the doc
1. Below the letter head the date is Jan 5th 2010
2. Then in the subject it says
Name Recd On Returned Result
XXXXX 11-10-2009 12-31-2009 No arrest Record- FBI
3. In the footer area of the same page there is a date stamp of Jan 06 2010
4. The stamp on the envelope is 7th Jan 2010
It was sent regular mail ..
Here is what baffles me .. I called them more than couple of times on the 6, 7 and 8th and each time they gave me the date of Jan 12th .. How did they not even know that the docs went out when I called them on the 8th !
You should not do it on your own, I went to one in Jersey City here is the addressgeorge4canada said:Anyone from nj who did FBI fingerprinting please help
local police office does not do and I donno if I can just do on own?
There was no photo process for California PCC. I took photos at the Livescan office because they had immigration photo service and I was lazy to go anywhere else to take photos for CIC application (so the photos were for CIC application, not for California PCC. Sorry for the confusion).desikiVAAT said:Hi Jasper, when you went for livescan for California PCC... did they take pictures & then send it electronically & then u received your PCC via mail? I called the guy for livescan appointment and he was a little confused...he was saying u need to collect PCC from someone law authority office and it will not in your mailbox. He confused me. Planning to go tomorrow...pls let me know so that i am able to explain the other guy properly. Thanks for help!

I walked-in to reception (lower level), and asked to get fingerprinting. the lady at reception took the fee and asked us to go up to 2nd level to the ID Department with payment receipt.McLuvin said:Hi deveshjaitley, I also live in Woodbridge NJ... The ID Dept guy asked me for FP Card, I had got the printouts from FBI website.
Nobody asked me the purpose for it!
