No news for me either. I asked an update on my background check and waiting for it.
this is the worst park of this hold process just the fact that background check takes so long when your file in final reviewing its like for ever and i do not know how long this final reviewing is going to take
Hi guys. Sorry for the late reply. My son got sick and i got a bit bussier at work.
No news yet. My medical is expiring nov 7. Maybe i have to remedical.
dont say that the mouth is a very powerful thing u will hear something next wekk also u can email the officer and remind her that ur medical is going to expire she can mayb do somthing
my partner is not in tye picture. my son is 2 now. my application was received november 2017 and assigned to an officer july 2018. so i am still waiting for approval so i can get an OWP. welfare isnt enough to afford decent housing and other necessities so i desperately want to go to work
Hello Mims, I hope you son felling better. Don't worry too much with medical, I read in another thread ( maybe refugee or skill worker thread) that recently ircc dont ask to redo medical if you have not left Canada since your last medical exam. Hopefully it's truth...
From timelines I saw in forums, best interest of child application got first stage completed between 4 to 7 months after officer start processing the file. This is not a certainty but just to give you an idea of what to expect. I understand you situation and your need to work I hope you will soon be able to do so! keep faith and stay strong.
also, i am only on welfare because my child is special needs so i assume there is some form of admiss

Hi sugarpot my application also was submitted on nov 2017 , process started on April 2018 still no updates, I applied for my mother . Hope to hear something positive soon, stay positive, God bless you all.
