H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Hi everyone, I was wondering whether this would be possible:

I recently submitted my H&C application, and in form IMM5283e I answered the questions and attached additional documents with full answer for each question (because this form itself doesn't have much space to write complete answer) However, after submission my circumstances changed, and I was wondering whether it's possible to ask them somehow to replace old IMM5283e & additional document with a new ones that I can submit them, not add to application, but replace completely. Anyone did this? Is it possible at all? And if so, how I can do it?

Yes you can update your application via webform if there are any changes or additional information. It will take years for most cases to get reviewed so there is a a good chance most will need to be updated along the way.

And many are just parents that just arrived here with zero ties to the country..

Even with ties to Canada the H&C program was never meant for parent sponsorship. There are some really exceptional cases but in general Canada has PGP and supervisas for a reason.

It all comes down to individual circumstances. Some “parents” may have come here under other streams and had some bad things happen out of their control.. try to obtain work or study permits further on but never have anything work out, exhausted their options, have nobody to go back to at “home” because all of their siblings, children, and parents are either citizens or PR in Caanada.
Time will tell. I will let you know what the decision is when it happens.

Yeah, no. Said person is more established here than you will ever be. Like I said, time will tell.

Parent and grandparents are not entitled to H and C. They can stay in Canada on 10 year supervisa and apply for PGP. H and C is program for those who will face extreme hardship if removed from Canada, families who are established here, have children and not eligible for other PR pathways.

Some came here not for the purpose of parents program, and even had their children go through the Canadian school system and established businesses. Time will tell. I will let you know. Thank you

That is why we have economic immigration programs. It has never been easy to immigrate after 40 so not having an easy pathway to PR should have not been a surprise.

Is it possible to receive AIP without receiving AOR?

If anybody tells you it is possible, run away from that person ASAP.

First and foremost, AOR is the "first " document IRCC issues to all applicants. It takes weeks or months. Don't expect to fast.

Second document IRCC sends to applicants is your Biometric letter . This takes months.

After above, the next document is your medical letter. This take almost a year or more than ( depending on how complexity of your case)

Base on the information above, expect AIP to approve beyond a year.It is after all of the above you can receive AIP if all application is approved.

You had to have received AOR. You may not have been advised or realized you received AOR but you did.
