Calling them every few days has not resulted in any movement it just delays the employee from perhaps processing your file. As someone has rightly pointed out the quota has likely been reached for 2024 so there may be no more approvals in 2024. You have already had relatively fast processing compared to many others. There is a point of diminishing return when calling most offices. Being labeled a nuisance caller doesn’t help get things processed faster in most cases. In some cases it can negatively impact processing. Not saying don’t call but every few weeks is more reasonable especially when well within normal processing time.No problem... hopefully soon, I will call them again tomorrow.
Can you share your timeline?
Hello yes it's normal, I know a person who has not received AIP or medical request, just the 1st and second email

Hello , I submitted documents to Niagara Office after received AIP on July 17,2024 ,still not any response yet .Hi my friend, see my timeline to give you an idea.
Application : June 10 2023
AIp : August 1 2024
Requested documents sent August 2
More than 4 months have passed and still....
I call them every two days
They say:
Medical : Passed
Elegebilit: Passed
background checking: in process
All they say is that average process time is 20 months and I have to wait... nothing we can do about.
I'm getting crazy with this waiting game...not fun at all
Actually the date on my AIP letter is July 23, but somehow I received on August 1, sent the requested documents on August 2 and nothing else so far.... almost 5 monthsHello , I submitted documents to Niagara Office after received AIP on July 17,2024 ,still not any response yet .
Thank you for sharingMy lawyer emailed IRCC to ask if I could get biometric ememption but they denied. They replied that I can do biometrics even with travel document if that have photo on it.
I was able to get emergency certificate from embassy. When I went for biometrics, they said this is not right document because they are not able to scan it but I requested her to enter my details manually. She went to confirm it with another officer and they accepted it. Finally, I did my biometrics.
do um you see any DUE DATE in medical or security? What’s your app status?yes i did both IRCC just saying the file are under process and the GCMS Notes i already ask 4 times and nothing have change just says TRIAGE : STRAIGHT

Did you write them for updates/status check?Hello , I submitted documents to Niagara Office after received AIP on July 17,2024 ,still not any response yet .
She can certainly try submitting an H&C application. She will need to be in Canada when she applies and should remain in Canada without leaving while the application is processed which will likely take around two years.Hello, we are a family of four people (parents and kids) and we are permanent resident living in Quebec. We are newcomers and at present I am doing a part-time job while studying part-time in university. My husband is a full-time French student. When we left our native country, my 78 years old mother (she has none except me to take care of her) came with us to Canada on visitor visa. In the meantime, she visited USA once and her visitor visa will expire in 2027.
Now, my question: is there any way to apply for PR for my mother as a humanitarian background? In no way, she can stay alone in my native country with no one beside her. Also, our kids (10 years and 7 years) are very much dependent on her, as they lived with her since their birth. I can't apply for a super visa as our monthly income is too low for it. But we have some savings with which I can take care of my mother without any Govt. assistance. I just need the permission to keep her with me, nothing else. It is so tough for her to go outside Canada in every 6 months interval.
She can certainly try submitting an H&C application. She will need to be in Canada when she applies and should remain in Canada without leaving while the application is processed which will likely take around two years.
Her chances of approval will be hard to guess but will be higher if you are an only child.
Suggest she take out private health insurance to cover emergencies since it will be quite a while before she can get coverage through the provincial health care programs.
Good luck.
