Gujarat Passport - Pune PCC - How ?

Hi Friends,


My problem is : My passport was issued from Gujarat (Surat Office) last year in OCT. But I work and stay in Pune since 6 years.

As I ready at many places If our passport was issued in some X state and If you apply for PCC in Y State , it will NOT be granted. I am now unable to travel to Gujarat due to health reasons of my wife.

So, Today I checked with Pune Police Department for PCC. I saw the PCC they issue.

I found a problem : They mention the date from which we are residing at our current address (The address we will mention on PCC application form). I just moved in my current residence in Feb 2015.

Will this be accepted as PCC by CIC or we will need the PCC for last 10 years ?

Please Guide.

If this is not acceptable , the only option left will be to go to PCC Gujarat and get PCC. And on top of that my wife's passport was issued without a police verification. So I think I will have to stay there for atleast a week and make 2 trips to passport office.

PCC is issued from the city you are currently staying and has nothing to do with where your passport was issued. Remember, passport is not a state level document. Passport issuing authority belongs to Central govt.
In PCC, they don't check your criminal history for just 1 year but they scan their database for entire. The information on PCC has to be true and if they write that you are staying at your current address from FEB 2015, what is wrong in that?
In my opinion, you are getting anxious unnecessarily. Just relax..

Jkal is correct. For one country you need one PCC. You can get it from your nearest Passport Seva Kendra. That's it.

Can you tell me which office you went to and whom to speak to.
Also did you fill this form or you got a new form from the office?
