If it's my husband who is a canadian citizen requesting for GCMS, do I need to fill up the consent form? He's sponsoring me. Do I need to mail the form physically with my signature? Thanks

yes because your husband is requesting info about your file, you have to fill out the consent form but it does not have to be the original, you can sign and scan it and email to your husband or sign and fax to him, whatever is easiest and he attaches it to the online request.

Question: From what I understand, I can request GCMS notes as many times as I wish without consequence to the immigration file, but how many times within one month can I request them? For example, before the 30-day waiting period is up can I send another request? Or will they cancel the first request?

Thanks.

Why would you make a second request while the first one is still under process? It's unlikely there will be major additions to your file in a time frame of less than a month.

Just a question if anyone has done this before. I have yet to apply for any notes.

From what I've read it seems the notes are generated within a week or so of the request being made, but then the notes are not emailed until nearly the end of the 30-day wait period. So, the file generated is "three-weeks old" so to speak. For some visa offices a lot can happen in three weeks (from nothing in process to half your file passed).

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has experience with this.

It would be better to wait at least until you get your first set of notes.

Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for your advice.

Recently received my first GCMS notes and was wondering what the following means under ACTIVITY:
Eligibility: 1-37K3Y17
Admissibilities: Security:135RIUAU, Criminality: 35RIUAR

Hi everyone,
does anyone know why some areas of the GCMS notes would be whited out?
Thanks

if it is something they don't want you to see, they have the right to white it out before you receive it.

Thanks for your response :). Do you know why they would choose to hide certain information. For my case specifically, they have whited out the security screening status and start date and updated date. could it be because it is still in progress?

This is normal process. What is funny is that they will redact dates, even when it is obvious (because of records before and after) what the date of the security record was.

Figured this could be bumped. It is helpful for those waiting after AOR2.

Would hate for it to be buried forever.

I read on another post that someone was looking for a guide to ordering notes from their file, so I have resurrected this thread.
