I'm a Canadian and my boyfriend is American. We are currently in the process of applying for an extension of his visitor visa so he can remain in Canada until December 2015. At which time, we will be considered common-law and I will be able to sponsor him for permanent residency. I'm just wondering what exactly needs to be included in the letter as I will be supporting him financially while he is here. We would also like to visit his parents in Washington but I'm afraid he might get turned away at the border. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
