Hello some family members and I are sponsoring a group of refugees, thy asked us to provide proof of how the funds were obtained (bank statement, statements of fund raising)
My question is do they want to see our e transfers to the trust funds? Some people deposited cash directly to the trust fund,so do they want to see the amount withdrawn from ther account (on the statement)?

Any kind of elaboration would be great? Examples of what people submitted

They want to know where the funds came from. So if people deposited cash directly, where did this money come from? From their job? From investments? You need to explain this and I think you will also want to show evidence to proof source of funds. Yes, if people moved this money from their own savings, then you can show the withdrawal. You need to explain the source of the funds.

Thanks for the reply, if we claimed savings do we just show them a statement where we had that amoun in our savings account? Or do we till have to show the amount being withdrawn from savings and deposited to trustfunds?

I would recommend providing as much information as you can.

They also want to verify that the refugees being sponsored aren’t the ones paying you to sponsor them. It is incredibly unusual these days for people to transfer large amounts in cash vs Etransfer unless there are some questionable circumstances. You need to show the amount of cash being withdrawn from your account on a date close to the date you deposited the cash in another account to support the refugee. The money also should make sense based on your declared income or previous asset declarations. If for any reason the money is not coming from one of the families sponsoring the refugee family I would suggest withdrawing the application versus trying to come up with lies.

Why do you suggest the application to be withdrawn if the money is not coming from one of the families sponsoring the refugee family?

For example, in my case none of my G5 sponsors are contributing any money, i want to raise this funds from distant relatives and family friends living in the Middle east, EU and UK, how can I show that am not putting my own money but its coming from different folks? and how will this be verified?

Thanks and regards.
