Hello,

I would like to apply for Canadian express entry. I have a question about my work experience. I worked as a graduate assistant while doing my masters in the US for 12 hours per week. I know that this falls under NOC 4012.

However, I was not paid but given a tuition remission. My employer paid my graduate tuition to clarify. Does that count as work experience for express entry if I was not paid directly?

Probably not as your employer will need to state your salary in the reference letter.
Depends on how your contract is worded.

Thanks Zabrodov. The letter states that my compensation was tuition remission of $12,100 annually. Would this count?
