Got work permit and SIN without Brown ID

How long have you been waiting for eligibility i nterview after passport sized.

So shortly to explain, I’ve applied on December, 22nd, medical invite on 2nd January, I’ve done it on January 7th, first eligibility interview I had on February 17th when my passport was seized, they said me then that next interview will be within 4-6 weeks. I’ve done it in Etobicoke, Toronto. I’ve received an email on March 8th that I’ve got a Work Permit for 2 years.
I’ve received in the meantime my SIN number. Still nothing about the 2nd eligibility interview.

You don’t qualify for OHIP as an asylum claimant. You qualify for IFHP.

IFHP I already have, and my daughter, but the fact is that 99% of doctors won’t accept us as patients in Toronto. Each clinic which I’ve called in since January or asked for OHIP or to pay.

I understand you submitted the online portal on 26 Jan 2023, did you upload your BOC Form? Did you include you include your case Narrative / Story or in other words full details of the basis of your claim?

Arrived with family in USA-Monterial border and applied for Asylum: 1 Dec 2022,
Moved to Ontario: 06 Dec 2022
Documents uploaded on web portal: 26 Jan 2023.
Received work permit: 15 March 2023
Got SIN no. and applied for Driving Licence: 16 March 2023.
Note: So in order to get SIN no. and driving licence, Brown ID is not required.

Hi, I came through US-Canada border and applied refugee on 4 December then from montreal moved to Alberta did my medical examination and submitted BOC on 26th December. Received online application status change as “data entry” on 17th January but no response after that. Called the IRCC and they asked me to wait. Please someone help me to understand if there’s long waiting based on my entry date in Canada and what are the steps after medical test and boc submission. Thanking you in advance.

Please can you advise my case is similar to your dates and I entered through usa-montreal. Submitted documents online and did medical but still waiting on hearing date for brown paper. Can someone guide me please

Hi, are you still in Material or moved to other province ? For me, I am still waiting for my brown paper but already got the work permit.
