Hi all,
We very fortunately received passport request for my spouse. Her nationality is Syrian and the VO we were assigned to was Paris. We applied 13 September 2018 and received PPR on 4 October 2019.
In the PPR, the VO has asked to ensure that the passport provided for the COPR is valid for 12 months. My wife's passport is valid until April 2020. However she has a visitor's visa in it. I understand that the COPR will allow her to enter Canada and that the visitor's visa is no longer required - but I just want to be on the safe side.
If any of you know more about this issue, should we go ahead and get her passport renewed to extend validity and then send the new passport to get the COPR in it? Or would that cause complications for the Paris VO who has administered her PR application on the basis of her existing passport?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
