Got a Passport request message from CIC, is that a good news? any help?

Today, I got message from CIC requesting my passport to complete further processes.
If it's a good news, HURRRRRAY...... ;D
in this post, if anybody wanna know how did I do it, or anybody want help in online application, I am glad to help. :

I live in Kerala, so I'd better handover the passport to Chennai VFS GLOBAL, right?

I shared all of my profile on 2nd December, under general category for admission on 10th January

I would like to know how the process went. Did you do your medicals, how long it took, etc

I did my medical couple of months ago. This is my second application. Took 8 days for the process.

Before they requested for your passport, did you recieve any update stating that your medical results were being reviewed?

Definitely, yes. in the column for medical exam i got a passed written.

No, my friend. IELTS wasnt required.

When did you submit your application?
I applied on 8th of December. How would I know If I applied under SPP or GENERAL because there is no option for those while submitting online application?
