the consultant is suposed to b a reputed one.. he claims 100% visa success rate and says mine has all the chances of getting a visa provided the overall cap was not aproaching so fast... he says the CIC website is slow in updation.. they must b hving with them 1000 or so aplications with them right now.. and by the time mine reaches.. the oveall cap wld hve reached..
Try and you will not regret in the future that you did not waste an opportunity.kahiar said:Good luck to you deepblues... stay hopeful but also prepared for what rjesome said. rjesome explained in good detail what I wanted to express to you as well, and his explanation is spot on. +1 to him.
I agree with your consultant that the chances are slim, but I disagree that you should not try. You MUST try because otherwise you'll never know! You have nothing to lose.
That is NOT true. Read the CIC website Operational Bulletin for Ministerial Instructions 2011. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2011/ob319.aspanupamabk said:theres this consultant who is worried abt the overall cap and my so called reputed consultant who says theres no such thing as the overall cap.. v only need to worry abt the noc cap
Now you worry about the overall cap. As of 08/03/12 there were 8985 applications, so only 1015 spaces left. As it takes 2/3 months before a file gets to review, I would think that the 10K cap is probably full by now.mandiebraxton said:There is an overall cap of 10,000 and then there is a specific NOC cap of 500. Logically it is the sum of 500 that make up the 10,000. If I were to be a prospective applicant, I would be more concerned about the NOC I am going to apply for than the overall cap. If you are in NOC 4152 for eg, you are already out of the game as far as FSW1 is concerned even though the overall cap has not been reached yet. The focus should always be on the NOC in question and not the overall cap.

PMM is right. But obviously even taking something directly from the CIC website will not make anyone believe us. And you might want to check your math. 29 occupations X 500 CAP = 14,500mandiebraxton said:There is an overall cap of 10,000 and then there is a specific NOC cap of 500.
