It is not legal for a company to charge the employer for job placement. The employer pays the recruiter.
Do a Google search of the company, or any company, to find out what history is out there.

hello...I would like to apply too on this website..been sending me some email too.. :)

Mguayc:

Your inbox is full. So here is the reply to your PM that I was trying to send.

I don't give specific immigration or job advice in PMs, I am not qualified to do so. I share my knowledge/opinions on the public boards.

I immigrated to Canada many years ago. I have no firsthand knowledge of Alberta/Saskatchewan job markets.

I suggest you read/post here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/finding-work-in-canada-b21.

Or in the foreign workers section, with specific questions.

I wish you the best of luck.

Agreed. Real placement agencies don't charge fees to employees - only to employers.
As they always say "We charge you for zero dollars because our employers pay us well!" I bet, yet they pay their employees horrible amount with no benefits and such.

Don't work for an agency, if you can avoid it at all cost. If all else fails, then they may save your day.

Scam. Placement agencies should be free.

Hmmm. :(

By the way, it is said that an employment offer is the best chance getting immigrated. Because it literally places you inside Canada on at least a work visa. But at the same time, they also say that no employer will be willing to hire somebody foreign over phone or skype.

Yet the visa sponsorship or LMIA still exists. o_O:confused:
Makes me wonder, why.
Or is there any highly in-demand and scarcely filled vacancy/position/career for which employers are willing to go for an LMIA?

Seems like you're assuming a placement agency has to be involved to get a job offer as a foreign worker. Nothing could be further from the truth.

People get jobs and approved LMIAs without going through placement agencies all of the time. They do this by applying to roles with companies directly. If the company has found the role to be difficult to fill from the Canadian talent pool, there's always a chance the LMIA will be approved and they may be willing to go through the process.

Again, any placement agency asking for money in exchange for a job in Canada should not be trusted and is most likely a scam. Apply for jobs with companies directly.
