She speaks english now and she is teaching the little guy they pick it up much faster.I told her enjoy your time with family cause once your in Canada it will be a while before you get to go back.And her mother has no idea how to use a computer.So we have to show her before my wife comes over.We have a majic jack the best 45 dollars i ever spent she is in Brazil plugs this majic jack in the side of the computer and it has a brampton number so i can call her anytime and its a local call.
Its amazing they now have it in Canada just go online type in majic jack no mater where you live you can pick a number from your area code
So if your in Canada and he is in russia you buy the majic jack for 45 dollars send it to him he plugs it into the usb sets it up picks a number from your area code and then calls you.it is as clear as if you were next to eachother.And its only 45 dollars a year thats it no hidden costs i love it.

iarblue, i know how your wife and you feel. me and my hubby got married in russia in the beginning of december on his bday and he left for canada right away. haven't seen him for 5 months now..and we only applied 3 weeks ago. before that we hadn't seen each other for 11 months. I don't know when he will be approved and when our case will be finalized - Moscow office takes a very long time. So we probably not be able to be together for our first anniversary. And yes - i was denied a visitor's visa though I had lots of proves.
What makes it worse is the fact that there is 11 hour difference between my place and his place. it does not make being away from each other better it's hard to catch up online because whe he has to go to bed i am rushing to work and vice versa. there is always someone who is in the wors situation than you.

iarblue, there is no point in crying hard and being upset. try to look at the situation from a different angle. u have gone through so much and your docs will be finalized soon before you know it. not everyone is as lucky as u r to have their docs approved so quick. crying won't help the situation - be optimistic and be happy that u have found each other and soon will start a new life together. tell your wife to enjoy living in the homecountry and remember everything and spend as much time with her family and friends as possible because soon she will move to Canada. tell her to earn english and french and teach it her little baby too - it will make time go by faster. tell her what you will do when she comes to you, where you will take them etc.

I heard about that Magicjack.... I just brought my Vonage adapter with me and make my calls from Brazil as if I we back in Canada and its my home phone number to boot

yup stay positive, everyday that goes by is one day less to have to wait.

I am going back to Canada in July for 1 month to visit my kids Then I return to Sao Paulo to wait out the rest of immigration with my wife. My mom gave me a nice birthday present

Ah great comp have a great visit with your children back here i know exactly what your going through bud,i wish i could have stayed in Brazil too.But got to work here to afford all the tickets and such when she is ready to come plus support my children here.
All i can say is one month down god knows how many more to go.
