I am a Canadian Citizen, have been my whole life but my girlfriend came to Toronto from Russia to study at college, her work permit is coming due October 21st and according to her lawyer she needs to find a job to extend it otherwise she wont be able to stay. She said before that no one wants the extra work of signing papers and stuff like but because time is running out I was wondering if anyone knew of any agencies that help immigrants find jobs in Toronto.
Everyday my mind thinks of nothing else but October 21st, I hope someone can help.

Your girlfriend is right. It's typically very difficult to find an employer who is willing to do the paperwork (Labour Market Opinion) to hire a foreign worker. To be approved to hire a foreign worker, the employer has to prove they advertised the role and were unable to find a Canadian to hire. For many companies, it's just too much work and/or they know the application will be denied by the government (because it's easy to find Canadians with those qualifications to hire).

I don't know of any agencies in Toronto who provide the services you're looking for. (Hopefully someone else will be able to help.) Note that there are many government agencies in Toronto that help new immigrants find jobs (i.e. immigrants who already have PR status). These agencies will not help those without PR status. So you'd be looking for a private (non-governmental) agency.

Be careful if you encounter any agencies who promise a work permit in exchange for money. These are usually scams. If possible, it's safest to work with the employer directly rather than through an agency.

Good luck.
